The New Year is over, the partial shutdown is over (for now), so let’s focus on taxes. Your W-2s and 1099s (and other forms) have either been received, or will be received shortly. Keep all of your paperwork together, so you don’t miss anything. You may forget to give your tax preparer a 1099, but IRS won’t forget to send you a reminder letter if that income is not reported on your 1040 return. |
